PROCEDURE FOR: USE OF DPS RANGE

The following procedures apply to the use of the DPS Range for scheduled user groups and for the use of the DPS Range for official DPS use.

Use of the DPS Range for scheduled user groups

1. Only scheduled user groups may use the DPS range. No individual shooting is permitted.

2. User groups will be scheduled for use of the DPS range through the BASF scheduling procedure.

3. No steel targets will be used on this range without permission of the Rangemaster.

4. All target frames will be placed at the 100 yard target holders. The use of the 50 yard target holders is prohibited.

5. No portable target frames will be used. Only BASF standard pistol target frames are permitted.

6. Vehicles will not be driven down range without permission of Rangemaster.

7. All rounds fired will impact the backstop. No rounds will be fired into the lateral safety berms.

8. All facility rules apply to the use of the DPS Range.

Use of the DPS Range for official DPS use, per lease agreement.

1. Only official DPS use will be scheduled and authorized.

2. The lead firearms instructor will check in at the Main Range Office before and after shooting on a daily basis.

3. The red safety flag will be flow during shoots.

4. BASF invoices regarding tracking of shooter days will be kept by the firearms instructor and turned into the Main Range Office upon completion of the event.

5. Targets will be posted on approved target frames.

6. Target frames will be placed at the 100 yard target frame holders for all pistol shooting.

7. If steel targets are used, they may be used within 25 ;yards of the backstop, and must be angled to deflect rounds downwards.

8. All rounds must impact the backstop. No rounds will be fired into the lateral safety berms.

9. For rifle classes, the 50 yard target frame holders may be used if rounds do not strike the floor of the range.

10. DPS use of the range will be coordinated with the Main Range Office.

11. DPS use before or after Facility hours must be coordinated with Main Range Office. At that time, gates codes will be provided.
