PROCEDURE
FOR: OFFSITE
VENDOR CAMPING
(camping on BASF other than at Shooters Campground or Primitive Camp Area)
Under
certain conditions and upon request by the host User Group, the Chief
Rangemaster may authorize overnight camping in areas other than the Shooter's
Campground or Primitive Area for event vendors. This authorization is granted on
a case by case basis and subject to the following conditions.
The
User Group hosting the event is the host User Group. Their responsibility covers
all aspects of this offsite camping procedure which includes enforcing this
procedure and all other facility procedures that apply to their event and
vendors, and: requesting permission for offsite vendor camping; taking
reservations for offsite vendor camping; assigning offsite vendor camping sites;
collecting and paying offsite vendor camping fees and the daily vendor fee;
picking up trash; providing for offsite sanitary features; providing facility
and offsite security during closed hours; providing for emergency assistance
during closed hours.
Camping
means the use of a camp space (for overnight lodging) by a camp unit i.e.: a
motor home, a camp trailer, a pickup camper, a pickup truck, van, car, etc., a
tent, or ground camping. Offsite camping is any camping that is not in Shooters
Campground, or Primitive Camping Area.
Offsite
vendor camping will only be allowed in sites designated by facility staff at,
near, or in the vendor area.
Camper
units will be separated by a minimum spacing of 15 feet. They will not block
driveways nor emergency access routes. This spacing does not apply to the vendor
area.
All
camping will be "dry" camping and the $8.00 fee will apply to each
camp unit. Vendors who wish to camp in their vendor booths will be accessed a
$4.00 fee.
The
offsite vendor camping fee will be collected by the host User Group and turned
in with the event Invoice.
The
Invoice will reflect the number of vendor camper units by day.
An
electric gate code will be given to the host User Group. It is the host User
Group's responsibility to provide this code to the vendor campers for reentry
into the facility by the east gate after hours.
The
host User Group will provide temporary toilet facilities at the designated camp
area for their campers. These temporary toilets are required if there are more
than fifty people for more than six hours. One handicapped toilet minimum, plus
one additional toilet for each 25 additional people over 50 people.
The
host User Group will pick up, empty, and return garbage cans, cold ash cans, and
fire containers for use by their campers. These are available from the facility
by arrangement.
The
following Shooters Campground regulations will apply at the designated offsite
camp areas.

Vendor
camping is restricted for use to those directly involved with the event, all
others may stay in Shooters Campground.

Offsite
camping is limited to the dates that the host User Group is responsible.
·
Offsite
camping fees will be paid by the campers to the host User Group who will be
responsible for the camping payment to the Main Range Office as part of their
event invoice.
·
Quiet hours
are from 10p.m. to 6 am. Disruptive behavior is not allowed on the facility.
·
After hours
access is through the east gate.
·
No ground
fires. All fires must be in fire containers.
·
Cold ashes
will be deposited in the red fire ash cans.
·
No gray
water discharge except into dump station.
·
Restrooms,
showers and dump station in
Shooters Campground are available for offsite campers.
·
All pets
must be leashed. Pet waste will be removed by owner.
·
No off road
driving.
·
No glass
bottles.
Security
must be provided by the host User Group. Licensed security is required, if other
arrangements are desired, they must be approved in advance by the Chief
Rangemaster.
The
host User Group must agree to the terms and conditions of this procedure before
permission for offsite vendor camping is granted, and understand that any
violation of this procedure will eliminate the ability for offsite vendor
camping at future events.
