Junior
Shooting The Ben Avery Shooting Facility is host to several junior shooting programs. The purpose of these programs is to provide a safe and fun environment for all junior shooters. They are to teach responsibility, safe gun handling and to set goals in climbing the ranks in marksmanship in NRA sanctioned programs.
Ben Avery Junior Marksmanship Club
This program is sponsored by the Ben Avery Shooting Facility and is conducted by the Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association at the Smallbore Range every Thursday evening from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Juniors can participate between the ages of 11 and 19 years of age. This program provides safety
training to all participants. Training
and shooting begins at 6:30 pm. This
program enhances character and personal growth though safe, educational
involvement in shooting activities. Promotes
the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship and ethical behavior. .22 caliber firearms, ammunition and targets
are provided. Ear and eye protection is
required for anyone on the firing line. PROGRAM IS FULL FOR FALL '07

Junior Shotgun Shooting The Ben Avery Clay Target Center and the AZGF Scholastic Clay Target program has an introductory clinic for new junior shooters currently in the developmental stages.
