HOURS:
Winter (15-Oct thru 31-May)
Beginning October 15, 2007, the Ben Avery Shooting Facility
Main Range, Archery Ranges and the Ben Avery Clay Target Center will
change their winter hours of operation for the public.
The new hours
will be:
- Monday – Closed
- Tuesday – Closed
- Wednesday – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sunday – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Summer (1-jun thru 14-Oct)
Beginning June 1, 2007, the Ben Avery Shooting Facility Main
Range, Archery Ranges and the Ben Avery Clay Target Center will change
their summer hours of operation for the public.
The new hours will be:
- Mondays: Closed
- Tuesdays: 5-9:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5-9:30 p.m. (closed 1-5 p.m.)
- Thursdays: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5-9:30 p.m. (closed 1-5 p.m.)
- Fridays: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Saturdays: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5-9:30 p.m. (closed 1-5 p.m.)
- Sundays: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Rifle Marksmanship Program
Attention juniors & parents!
Want to get involved in true precision marksmanship? ASRPA volunteers
are running a Marksmanship Training program for youth this year!
Precision .22 Rifle shooting in accordance with NRA and Olympic
training techniques. This is a complete class teaching all the safety
rules and fundamentals of precision marksmanship.
- Location: BEN AVERY’s smallbore range (map below)
- Dates (3 semesters of 6 lessons):
- 10-Jan*, 17-Jan, 24-Jan, 31-Jan, 7-Feb, 14-Feb
- 20-Mar*, 27-Mar, 3-Apr, 17-Apr, 24-Apr, 1-May
- 9-Oct*, 16-Oct, 23-Oct, 30-Oct, 6-Nov, 13-Nov
- * First lesson of each semester will be a mandatory classroom session, followed by 5 lessons of shooting under coach’s supervision. All dates Thursdays in 2008, No class on 10-Apr.
- Times: 7:00 to 9:00 PM (set up at 6:30)
- Fee: $25 for 5 shooting sessions, ammo, book & supplies.
- Limit: 22 participants
- Age group: 11 thru 17 years old, must be mature.
- Equipment: All equipment is provided
- ASRPA junior membership: not required, but encouraged.
